Happy Sunday everyone!

Getting ready for the big game this afternoon? I'm not much of a hockey fan, but I think we will be watching this one! Go Team Canada!!! I watched one of their games on Wednesday evening (Canada vs Russia), and I was surprised that it only took a few minutes to really get into it and then I was yelling at the TV LOL Go figure! hehe
Now onto the scrappy stuff.... Here's my take on Creative Scrappers Sketch 93. I loved this sketch! Now, if you had of asked me how I felt about yellow last year, I would have said "Blech!" without hesitation! However I find myself totally loving the color these days! Funny how that happens!
Here's my cutie-patootie nephew on the beach. Papers are October Afternoon and Fancy Pants, Clouds and Heart pins are MLBOW, Feltie is Sassafras and of course a bit of Glimmer Mist (I'm addicted!). This is my first attempt at making these curled flowers, they were tons of fun! I'm not certain I have my technique perfected yet...but I'm sure I'll be making more of them!

Mr. Flowers....

My 25lbs Maine Coon boy cat is name Fleur (French for Flower) When he was rescued, the shelter workers couldn't get a good look to see if he was a boy or a girl (he was feral)...However, he was so pretty they thought "it MUST be a girl"...well, not so much. LOL The poor fella knows his name and I didn't have the heart to change it on him...but Dave calls him Mr. Flowers to preserve some of his dignity ;)
The layout was for LCOM's "So You Think You Can Scrap" contest week 6
Thanks for visiting!

I just voted myself off the LCOM Island.....

Too funny! I've been participating in the super fun contest over at Let's Capture Our Memories called "So You Think You Can Scrap".....and since I'm part of the new DT I also have voting privileges...well, I just voted myself off out of the game! LOL

This week's challenge was to create a layout using the colors Pink and Black and to follow LCOM owner Tanya's scrappy style....well, I just couldn't do it! I got the colors right, but couldn't take the "Stephie" out of my layout LOL Ah well, we'll see what happens tomorrow when Tanya posts the results, I just thought it was kinda funny ;)

Here is the layout from Last weeks "all about Me" challenge SYTYCS week5
Hope you are all having a great week!

Creative Scrappers Sketch #91

Here is my take on the Creative Scrappers Sketch 91 I loved this sketch!!! I think this layout came together in about 25 minutes! Papers are by Sassafras, and the mushroom button, Yellow Textured button and leaf pin are all from my Whimsy Shop
Hope you are all having a wonderful Valentine's day! I'm off to give Dave a big ol' smoochie!

Hi Folks,
Here is my take on Week 4 of LCOM's "So You Think You Can Scrap" Challenge....the theme was "Edgy" :) Lots of Orchid templates going on in this, along with the most stitching I've ever done on a layout! I think I'm hooked LOL I'll be getting some bobbins filled up with some cool colors in anticipation of more layout stitching in the future! I find that its the only thing that will flatten them after I've GlimmerMisted them! Yay!
The photos are of my sister Sally and I one Halloween (1978 I believe)...My Mom made these adorable costumes! We must have rubbed our face paint a bit...since we look like the Joker ;)
Have a wonderful weekend!

ps many of the Whimsies on this layout can be found Here

Here are a couple of layouts I worked on at the LCOM Crop this past weekend....

Lush is my all time favorite bath/cosmetics/skincare washroom is FULL of the stuff! This is me last summer visiting the Lush shop in London, UK (they offer a few products that the North American shops don't have)

Here is my first adventure with Dave and the boys, Summer 2006. Love this photo, such a character shot! hehe Oak Island was mysterious and fascinating....I love hearing about all the sand traps and theories of a buried treasure!

Just got in....

...and the weather is frightful!!! The roads were atrocious, especially the Wentworth valley area! Wow! I'm sure I spotted at least 5 cars off the road! Yikes! Needless to say, the trip home took about twice as long as it normally does *sigh*

Kristine and I had a wonderful time at the LCOM to meet Zoƫ and had lots of laughs! The food was phenomenal, but the company is what makes me look forward to the next crop! :)

I wasn't quite as productive as K...(check her blog out! 2 minis and layout done!) I completed 2 layouts and almost finished another...just need to add a few touches before its due on Wed (LCOM contest) I'll try and post photos of the first two tomorrow evening.

Have a happy Sunday!
